For my 75th Box, I thought I'll have to do something different --- and I always wanted to do a 3DO box... but after looking though my 3DO collection of games, there wasn't really anything that took my fancy... so I thought I'll do Spider-Man 3 for it, even if it isn't on it... also --- it follows my comic-style from my LEGO Batman box. No as hi-res as usual because 3DO boxes are TALL!!! LOL Hope you like ;) First 3DO box here??? ;)
The Panasonic 3DO was one of the first CD based consoles in the early 90's and it wasn't very popular.http://home.cogeco.ca/~logicdustbin/3DO_SYS_Pan_FZ1.jpg
Or the exceptionally rare Goldstar 3DO link
This is excellent work. Is this really your last one?
Thansk guys. Yeah.. the 3DO was a cool machine... it was gonna be the 'MSX" of consoles in that, the hardware specs were standard, and any company can join the 3DO group and make their own version of it.. Panasonic made the first, followed by Goldstar as ADFD mentioned, a bit like how the MSX machines did.. ie. Yamaha's MSX had better sound features. Unfortunately, the 3DO died like the Jaguar because of the high price... not to mention the rise of Sega's Saturn, Sony's Playstation and Nintendo's SNES.
OH... and yeah, I did say my 75th box will be my last.
However... after doing this one, I might consider continuing... -BUT- only make different boxes that's not in my collection (ie. Neo Geo, Gamegear, SNES, etc... ) ;)
I was a little confused by the cover at first. It wasn't obvious that Spidey was jumping through the front of a comic book, but I see it now. I think making the edges look more like they're tearing instead of peeling would have helped. Maybe it's just me. I really like the back cover though. Overall, very slick design.
#18, Virtual Boy?... I'll just get my red glasses on then! LOL -- one machine I never had... and not a great choice of games - either asteroids or other variants of asteroids? lol
--- actually, when I uploaded the box, I was surprised that the 3DO was actually selectable even though no-one made a 3DO box. So, I'll have to look up the list. I'm actually thinking Neo Geo... the first one with the BIG cartrdges.. (boxes are MASSIVE! lol) my mate had one (although he bought it 2nd hand) -- something like Karnov's Revenge, or even the first King of Fighters or something ;)
#15 - Sorry, didn't use a temp... made box from scratch. Also, the 3DO boxes are different depending on the company who makes the game... like the console. ie. EA games comes in a cardboard box but have plastic spine/edge to hold it together; Origin has a tougher box which are like necklace boxes that open into two parts; and Crystal Dynamics have basic thin card like SNES box. However, the 3DO company issue the box size.. which are approx. 26.5cm high x 13.7cm wide x 2.5cm depth. Just stick the 3DO logo where I put them on my box and the publisher's logo on the spine. Everything else is dependant on the company. There's no ratings logo then, hence why I didn't put one on my box.
*NUTS*

#30, Why are there people that don't even know what a 3DO is? ADFD actually answered the question in one of the first posts on this box, besides...

It's shameful how few people know what a 3DO is. You should all have your gamer cards confiscated for knowing so little of video game history.
This box is fantastic. Faved and author fave.
