This is an entry for the Hidden Jewel Competition: link
I've worked on this for a few weeks on and off, but finally got free time to sit down and complete it. Not the original idea I was aiming for, but after a lot of playing around I was able to make something from the good quality resources I found. Hope you like it. Feedback is appreciated and thanks. :)

I'm sorry if I missed anyone!
(Also apologies to anyone who saw this come up and down earlier. I realized how shit the preview was due to me doing it at a wrong resolution, so I took it down to redo it.)

Nine Hours, Nine Persons, Nine Doors Box Cover Comments
Comment on lucidhalos's Nine Hours, Nine Persons, Nine Doors Box Art / Cover.
The background on the back needs more light (to fit with the front), otherwise this looks awesome, very good job!

I've updated it so the background on the back is slightly brighter. I'm not sure if VGBA has applied the update though. I'll check again later, if not I may have to delete and repost.
Thanks. :)

@lucidhalos
Well, if the update doesn't works, you can turn your png box into jpeg and then, it should work (do not ask me why, I have no idea).

@Ulquiorra It did update eventually an hour after I had uploaded it. At least the full-view one. Not too worried about the preview, since it's just a lighting thing that I changed.
I can see how it could work, since it may read as the same file before so the site may not see to update it unless it's a different format. Unfortunately, I don't like the jpeg quality of the site. :(

I agree with Ulquiorra, the back does seem like it could use some light (maybe a white overlay). Other than that, really nice job! I faintly remember this game, but I totally forgot what it's about.

I've updated it and fixed the lighting in the back.
I played the game a few years ago, but own a copy of the game. It's a visual novel-esque horror/survival + logic/numerology puzzle solving. It's pretty fun, but it can get repetitive in order to unlock all the different endings, but it's an interesting and pretty unique game.

I actually disagree with the comments above and believe the slightly darker background works since the text is white and contrast is needed for easy legibility. Nice cover.

Well, I did update the lighting. It's not bright enough that things become illegible, but it's brings out the back more so now.

Superb work as always. I think brightening the back makes the back look a little weird, but other than that, I haven't got any complaints.

Words can't describe how much I love this. The grey background, the contrasting character in the middle, the white outline... Great job!

Looks great, love the breakout of colour to the front.

Looks pretty sweet. The splashes of colour the main characters give off breath life into the otherwise dreary design. The only thing I dont like is the white outline on the characters. Sticks out like a sore thumb.

This is fantastic. I like the contrast of the colored character on the front to the grey behind him, the placement of the logo is perfect, it somehow adds something to the cover that it isn't centered. It looks great on the spine as well, instead of just rotating the logo by 90 degrees and slapping it there, you used way the logo is too place it there in three parts, which looks so - so nice.
Now the back focuses on artwork, which I love.
This design has so much charm and character. Well deserved HOF!
