My entry for Octoberfest 2015 Round 1: B-Horror. The idea is to make a box art in a B-Movie Horror style. It could be either a movie or a game, and like most of the contestants I decided to do based of a game... or is it a movie?
Night Trap is a interactive movie for the Sega CD, which a group of girls go do a sleepover or something like that in a huge house which is infested with traps. Those traps were installed by S.C.A.T, a bunch of people that protects the family that owns the house from bad guys. I don't remember the story pretty well, so I recommend you to watch a walkthrough or play by yourself using emulators n' stuff.
I wanted to do a presentation that mirrors this box art made by TheSlyder (link) I liked the idea of making a old, torn package so I gave it a go.

This looks fantastic, one of the most creative boxes in the comp so far. Great job, Alex! :D

Great job overall (color scheme, creativity and presentation) I still prefer the front, but that's just a matter of taste.

I do really like this, but I don't think the back is quite on the same level as the front. I don't know what it is, I just think it feels empty compared to the front. That said, the front is amazing, so you did a nice job overall :)

Looks kinda like a Dr Suess book hah, imo it's not grungy enough to feel like a b horror poster but it's still nice.

WOW.
This is absolutely stunning. I can't believe I'm only just seeing this now. I absolutely love the faded and frayed cardboard effect as it truly brings to life the nostalgia and creates a classic vibe.
The colours and illustration are just hilarious as well. It's fascinating to see how art has come along in the history of box art and video games, and seeing this piece really makes me want to look more into practicing my own skills with some true classics that paved the way for the kinds of games we have today.
Super, super job dude. You're one of my biggest inspirations, influences and idols here. Hopefully I can practice until my own work is half the standard of yours; I'd be totally happy with that!
