what website to make box art

I need some help with creating boxes. I created one that I gotta wait to upload and I guess it's pretty good. Any way. When I save a image of a character, I save the background with it, same with logos. I read your tutorials but they didn't help. How can I get rid of back grounds so it's just the Character and the logo? And another question, When I put on a template, it shows, but there is a big white blank space in it covering the characters, backgrounds and logos. Please help me.
