I'd call Lafiet a main character. Just that one thing changed so much after it. I agree that they stayed close on the first season though.

One big thing is how much of a difference there is between the books and the show.
Like at the beginning of last season. In the books it's Lafiet who is found dead in the car.

Well IMO the queen was being very drastic about the situation because she would be killed if anyone in a higher power than her found out that she was trafficing vampire blood.

I don't think it was her. I think Eric kidnapped Bill.
Because the queen told Eric to take care of Bill.
