Rendering in Fireworks

Ok I know probably no-one on this site uses Fireworks, or if they do, theres very few people that do. But I wanna start to learn how to render, i know to use the polygon lasso tool thanks to SpyPilot but I would like to know how to render glows so that i can take out the background, but not the glow of the object/character, this is for things like the glow of a fire or light shining off a sword. Also how to render fur.

I know that people know how to do all this, but do they do it on Fireworks?

If possible could someone send me a link to a turtorial, preferably a written turtorial, not video, but if it has to be video ill watch it, if anyone can i would really appreciate it.

i used to use fireworks but then i downloaded gimp. i would download that and then ask how to render.its a lot easier that way.
