[re: v1] | Art style. Two words that I focused on while designing this box. This is, without a doubt my most creative work to date and quite possibly also my best yet. A major switch in my style, sure, but I hope you guys will like this change, a change for the better I hope ;) Other than art style, I focused on detail as always - pixel for pixel (even on the canvas background) - with leads me to thank FFSeer22 for the stroked Okami logo and MARKER for the hi-res back esrb, thanks guys. After all, those details are the ones that truly brings out the box's potential. I absolutely love the game right now and had the official box with me the whole design process as a standard. The top part of the front is from the official artbook (I'm trying to remember the site right now...) which I coupled with some other character blendings on the bottom ;) EDIT: Ah, I got it, E_G. LOL Great choice of Wolf on the cover too... that's one I haven't seen either.. then again, I've never played the game.. maybe I'll have to dig it out now, if my PS2 still works (I've got original Japanese SCPH1000) Awesome work! |

[re: v1] | i'm sure most people know how i love this game, but i'll be completely honest: this box isn't my favorite. of course i like the colors, style and intricate detail, however, me being an okami art whore, i recognized the separate artworks used for the front design and really it just doesn't all flow for me (mainly the transition to the bottom half). and back, seeing how you remodeled it after the official, doesn't really appeal to me and i may have preferred something different/original. now, no hard feelings of course, this still is a nice box and i think you did an overall nice job with incorporating different images and using color scheme to tie it all together, but personally this just isn't my favorite from you.
